This looks like a very niec project, already well underway and showing good promise of being a great project and more importantly, finished. IF you need designers, I would sign up, looks like you have finished your design doc though.

Wow, I'm impressed. It's refreshing to see one of these projects, that actually looks feasible, and has existing work done on it.

Just thought I'd give it a bump, and say good luck with your project.

Sounds like a very cool project, I'm working on something similar, minus the online/RPG part, I look forward to updates on your project!

Btw. the mafia wasn't really a way of life in the '40s, people were too busy with World War 2 :-) The height of the "mafia" was probably in the 1920/1930s prohibition era America.

That pales in comparison to the mob related activities of the early 80s in Sicily, or the infamous drug releated mobs in Columbia that controlled whole countries. It's a very interesting topic and one I've spent a good amount of time studying. Again good luck on your project!

I think this game looks like it has a lot of potential. The concept is unique yet seems like a "classic" premise, the way i'm imagining it. Glad you posted.... Hope you find more of the sort of people you're looking for!

Two different developers, same idea and same time! w00t! [tears] I don't think this has ever happened before. This could get ugly.

Where's Boolean? We need a cartoon =b

not realy our idea differs, i do like there cartoon concept idea thats real good idea, ive seen many gamers in the past look at cell shaded graphics, altho theres is 1930s to 1940s based, ours is a mixture of both 1930s and modern day, anyways, we wish you the best of luck and hope to see you at next years e3 :)

ps: maybe a coffee when we meet :P

Look at it this way: "Antz" and "A Bug's Life" came out almost at the same time and neither suffered. It was just two flavors of the same concept. I don't think this should worry either party in this case. Yeah, it's similar in concept but, in the end, you'll have two different products.

hey...you guys have the same game idea i do...only problem is im not a designer or developer, im only a game originator...(i come up with the ideas and they are put into action by others who specialize in those feilds) i have many ideas which could be used in your game..and i would like to say you guys are very talented...ive played almost all of the games made by several of you and i liked most of them....so if you are interested just go ahead and tell me...;D

ive also posted this idea on several different sites and gotten a ton of possitive feedback over the years....here are some links of some of the newer ones...
