How odd - I'm sure someone linked to those photos before and it was a designer's site (or similar) and just a mockup (as in, it didn't exist). If it does exist now, for real, where do we sign up? [smile]

I can't remember what the final verdict was, and can't find the original thread to find the link to the original site. That's not to say that it doesn't now exist...

From their website:
It will most likely use the OLED technology (e-paper is sooo slow).

oddly enough, I remember some friend discussing it or something much like it quite some years ago.[grin] Of course, finally somebody (Lebedev?) made 3D design mockup.[smile] (images looks like computer renders, not photos)

Yeah I remember seeing something like this little while back..

It's interesting, I'll consider picking it up once the price < $100

If the keys actually emit light, it'd be awsome because it'd be a lot easier to play in the dark as well as making general play easier. Sure, there are light-up keyboards, but none of them make it much easier to see the top of the key (either they light the outline of the keys or the keys are made in such a way that the light shines through them and the markings fade out). I can't say I'd buy one, though, unless they're under $25. I'll buy the latest graphics card long before I buy a $100 keyboard

You know what I just thought that would be a really cool idea for these LCD-based keyboards? Have something like DVD/VCR control labels on the keyboard!

Anyone else find it interesting how so called "news" sources will just go right ahead and make things up entirely?

(And these guys are even several weeks late on the up-take. After it appeared on slashdot. Incredible.)
