[web] ASP returning a string ?

I don't know much about ASP but I can't find info on what I want to do... I'm doing a j2me apps, and i'm using an ASP page to interrogate de database on a server. So I do pass de SQL string inside the a "query string", but now what I want is formating the resultset, into a string and sending it back to my device? what I can do? something like a response.redirect and put the data in the redirect URL ? Thank you!
