I am wanting to make a simple chat program, over a LAN connection. I have the skills to do this, except for being able to use winsock. Could anyone point me in the direction of a good tutorial?

I have read plenty of tutorials over winsock, but I can't find one that explains the code. It just lists it and wants me to put it in a file, instead of actually telling me what does what. I would prefer it if it did tell me what was what that way I can make my own programs my way. :) Any help would be much appreciated...
