I hate iTunes. I hate iTunes very much. My mp3 collection is around 10K songs. iTunes messes up my naming convention. It's a resource hog when trying to scroll through all those songs. Did I mention I hate iTunes? I have an iPod mini, 4GB. I'm looking for some (free) software to allow me to transfer any song I want from my PC to the iPod in a drag and drop fashion. Ideally, I would also like this software to be able to copy songs from the iPod back to the PC. The best one I have found is SharePod. It does everything I need, but alas it does not support the iPod mini (only the standard iPod) transfer of songs from the PC to the iPod (the other way works on the mini, though). vPod, CopyPod, and a few others all only go one way (iPod to PC). So right now I'm using iTunes to go from PC to iPod, and SharePod to go from iPod to PC. The software I found that will work perfectly is xPlay by MediaFour and Anapod, but alas.. the trial editions of both suck, and they cost 25-30$. :( So, does anyone know of free software that can totally replace iTunes? and even better, free software that can replace iTunes AND perform iPod to PC transfers? What do you all use? Thanks ;) edit: i'm using winXP

Cool, thanks for the link. This works nicely for the PC to iPod transferring. :)
