Incredible Some of you are familiar with the somethingawful.com web site. Some know that the server was shutdown when New Orleans went down. Now they are raising funds, but not funds to get their server up and running again, but to benifit the survivors. In less than a day, they have contributed $20k. The power of the internet at work.

I encourage people to donate. The link is down until paypal pulls its head out of its ass. I donated $15, it was easy to do, I didn't even think twice.

Its not terribly ironic. When goons were informed of the lack of body armor for our troops in iraq a member setup a donation site to buy armor. They raised a few thousand dollars in doing so and bought some body armor for an entire group. I Think the story is actually in one of those news updates.

Ha, how much do you want to bet it was a couple assholes who thought they were being cool and reported them for suspicious behavior for no reason. Stupid people like that need to be beaten. severely. I really doubt that paypal would just close the account for no reason.

Although, it would be really stupid if they switched from DirectNIC after all those guys have been doing down there...
