I'm in the later stages of pre-production, just completing a range of planning documents. I would love a talented concept artist to create some strongly stylistic, humorous designs for characters, and/or landscapes and architecture! Team name: Lucid Digital Project name: Axiom Brief description: Axiom is a simple, addictive strategy sandbox. Target aim: For now, Axiom will be designed as freeware. However I am keen to build a marketable game, and this option will be available through my contacts. I have strong links with web development and promotion services and these will be leveraged to give Axiom excellent exposure. Compensation: A demo of Axiom will be created with the intention of gaining partial funding, which team members will benefit from. There are also myriad benefits of being part of a talented, friendly and organized team. Technology: Java, JOGL, Networking. Talent needed: A great concept artist! You would be working on the first tier of concept art, setting the tone for the world and it's people througout development. Team structure: Although no official team is built at the moment I have a few skilled people staying with me from previous projects. These include, a Java graphics programmer, an excellent audio artist, a website / php guru, and myself. I specialize in Game Design - I graduated in it. I'm a great 3D and 2D artist, and have good knowledge of Object oriented languages, although java is new to me. Website: The next thing on my list, after the design documents. Contacts: e-mail me: dan AT loafit DOT co DOT uk Or PM me, I check the forums every day. Questions and/or suggestions very welcome in this thread! Additional Info: I'm investing a lot of time and energy in this project, with the intention of boosting myself straight into a junior designer / producer position at a professional game studio. This is an excellent opportunity to become a part of a challenging but well managed project. I am running a rather unique dev journal for the duration of this project, check my Sig/Journal.
