Not really a suggestion for the site itself (unless you guys want to implement the posting API that LiveJournal uses) but if anyone would care to write and publish a small application for posting dev journal entries without having to use the site, that would be both neat and useful. It's not important, though. Just something to do if anyone's bored.

I would happily write the application. The only problem being that there would have to be an interface to the site for my program to interact with in order to make posts. Im not entirely sure what could be done from the sites POV but it would seem too much to ask.

Even better would be a web-based one, seeing as GDNet doesn't seem to work at all well in phone browsers - so people could update their journals when away.

Why not just do a simple HTTP request like the browser does when the normal method of posting is done? Anyway, if there's to be a special interface just for journal posting, it should be this one so that people can use normal LJ clients for journal posting.
