I wrote a Direct3D application using visual c++ 2005 beta 2 and when I tried to run it on another computer (with WINXP SP2) I got a message telling me the application configuration is incorrect and that I should reinstall it properly. why is that ??? On the other computer I don't have visual c++ 2005 but I have installed the .Net Framework 2.0 Is there something else I'm missing ?

Visual C++ Beta 2 projects are not compatible with previous versions of Visual Studio. You will need to make a new project and redo everything.

** There may be a snazzy fix for making them compatible, but you'd have to search around for it, unless someone else presents how to do so. To the best of my knowledge so far though, I've just remade my projects.

I didn't try to run the project.
I took the .exe file and tried to run it on another computer.
