I'm kind of new to dx and I wanted to ask you a thing.I created a heightmap from a jpg picture and wanted to have some nice textures on it. I heared, and seen some tutorials where the best way of doing this is: Step 1: setting the alpha color of all your vertices(the way it needs to be) and blending with texture one Step 2: setting new alphas in al vertices and blending with texture 2 ... Step n: blend the results from step 1,2...n-1 I heared that i have to render n times in order to do this. Now I have 2 questions,.. 1) Is there any way of doing this without rendering n times? 2) How can i blend the results form the steps before? Can anybody give, show me a way,a tutorial about this? I will appreciate any help you can give me.Thanks!! :)
