Team name: N/A Project name: Master thesis: Spatial partitioning and hidden surface removal in real-time rendering (Or someting like that). Brief description: I have been working on my master thesis for quit some time, since February this year. A summery, abstract: There exist many techniques for spatial partitioning and hidden surface removal. White this thesis I will try to compare some of them in order to find the best and most flexible spatial partitioning and hidden surface removal techniques that works for high detailed scene and all types of environments. They should not require a long build time and deliver a high performance/frame rate. I Have currently Implemented the following spatial partition algorithms: Quadtree, Octree, Loose Octree, Adaptive Octree, k-Dtree (BSPtree, axis and polygon alinged), ABTree (Yann L’s adaptive binary tree). And for hidden surface removal: frustum culling, Portals/PVS, a modified HOM and hardware assisted occlusion. What I need now is to preform several test, so I'm looking for very high detailed scenes, indoor and outdoor, I need a lot of different scenes to get a high variation of environments that I preform the test on. Target aim: N/A Compensation: I will off course throw in the artists name, your name, in the thesis so everyone knows you made the scene, if you want me to. Technology: The format don't matter, my model/scene exporter is currently using 3D Studio Max. Others like Maya, LightWave, Cinema 4D and Milkshapem, and so on are also fine, I can convert them and then import them to 3D Studio Max. The scenes don't have to have any materials/textures, the only criteria is that the have a high polygon count and the bigger the scene is the better it is (if the scene has materials/textures thats ok, too). Talent needed: None, just a 3D scene. Team structure: Only me, Luger. Website: None, at the moment. Contacts: mpend01 at student . vxu . se Additional Info: N/A Feedback: ENCOURAGING ONLY [Edited by - Lugerns on September 19, 2005 1:33:34 AM]

Sounds like a fairly simple request for someone to handle, I'd encourage anyone with the relevant skills to consider it.
