Blender Python: Transformed vertices?

I'm using Blender. I'm writing an export script that exports the selected mesh's vertex data. However, if the mesh has been deformed by an armature, I would like to export the mesh's data as found in the current frame of animation. Does anyone know the Blender Python code to get the transformed vertex positions? Thanks a ton! ~BenDilts( void );

My solution is to just select everything and apply the rotation and scaling with ctrl-A before exporting it (adding the translation to the vertices during the exporting). Depening on what you are trying to do this may not be a workable solution though.

Hidden deep in a menu somewhere I found an undocumented script that came with blender that does exactly what I need.

Thanks everyone!
