I don't see how your service is any better then any other provider (unless you want to host mass download things - mp3, etc), otherwise, its not that impressive at all... My service costs ~$7: 5GB webspace/ftpspace/mail, 25 Databases, 100G bandwidth... It's too much for me to use... [edit - there are no popups or banners either]

Not to sound like Im "firing" salvos back at you but its the same as anything in life when shopping around. If it does not suit/fit your needs, dont buy it.

It amazes me how people constantly sit there and compare this to the "100GB of space for 1 buck" deals floating around on the net. Seriously, I am not that kind of hosting and nor am I looking to compete with them. They have alot of financial backing not just from "investors" but from the things I refuse to allow on my client's sites. Such as pop ups and banner ads. For my own reasons I refuse to resort to that becuase just like anyone browsing a site, I despise fighting waves of pop ups just to see 1 picture or read a tutorial. But thats what those types of hosts do. Nothing bad about it, they have to make their money to pay bills but its what allows them to literally "throw" those huge amounts of space at you for almost nothing.
Im not going to waste time going over the politics of it. Theres pros and cons to everything. As in, I may not be throwing gigs of space at you for $7 a month but yet I have no bandwidth limits nor do visitors have to fight waves of popups to get to your content. Yet for that its a buck or so more(depending on which service you look at) for a little piece of mind. Plus, answering your question, "yes" this is a server that you can use to store massive files and whatnot without the worries of me "Slamming" you with an outrageous fee and suspending your page.
Plus, I will admit that 100GB of bandwidth a month is alot. But lets use our imanginations shall we? Say you actually DO have some stuff on this site that people are really liking...Your site begins to generate XXX amount of visitors a day and you find yourself answering alot of emails and so on. Dont forget the content that loads into each user's browser, including the pop ups and banner ads^^. Then theres the emails you get and reply to(cant have such an overly succesful site without some emails of praise or querries, eh?). Then all of a sudden, you need to access your FTP to upload something and "WHAM". This site is suspended due to exceeding bandwidth allocation.
I did'nt come on here saying I was "better" than any of those guys. I came offering an "alternative". Some may see it as fair. Others like yourself see it diffrently.
Heh, a bit lengthy but it fits in to what I said at the beginning: If it does not suit/fit your needs, dont buy it. Remember, you get what you pay for;)

But thanks for stopping in

EDIT: Thats great if there is no pop ups or banners to worry about. But you still have the bandwidth limit. It is alot I will admit for 1 month but in my own opinion, thats still too much to worry over if it was me. I'd rather not have to fret over something so trivial if I had all my artwork and other things up and getting hit with a high amount of traffic. And then having to figure out whether or not Im close to my limit.

Lastly, As I also stated, any comments or questions, email me or call the toll free number. This thread was not up for debate or open to comments(positive or negative). So anything you or anyone else care to add or bring to my attention please do, but I ask that you use the contact methods I provided in my previous posts.;)

Thank you
