Hello there. I got a used cheap and a bit crappy notebook (Lion), and besides all the little minor defects it has, there are two things that disturb me greatly: 1) Screen Flickering 2) Idiotical Key Layout 1) Most of the time, the screen seems to work fine. But occasionaly it starts to "flicker", and once it started, it won't stop so quickly. The flicker frequency is pretty low, about 1...2 times a second (irregular), but it can go on my nerves. I tried to move the TFT fore and back, but it seemingly has no influence. I just for fun started the program DOSBox and switched into full screen, back to windowed and then quit the program - very often this eleminates the flickering at once, so I initially thought it might be a driver problem. But . . . it doesn't work every time, so maybe it's not? I don't know. What could this be, and, can it be overcome? 2) The left Ctrl key is not really left in the corner of the Keyboard, instead the Fn key is, and the Ctrl is right of it. Now, that sucks! My left hand is used to feel the edge of the keyboard and thus know where the Ctrl is, this doesn't work anymore. But I don't want to retrain to this crappy layout and then have problems with a real keyboard. So, can I somehow change the keyboard layout to have Ctrl in the left lower corner and Fn right to it, or is this impossible because the functionality behind it is keyboard-internal ? Will I inevitably do damage to the thing when I try to grap the two keys and plug them out of the board, to exchange them? Thanks in advance, unshaven
