linux installation doubt...

Hi, I'm installing gentoo... and i plugged in a usb disk during installation... gentoo detected it and it was all good... until I wanted to open the disk. How do I open the disk (inside the installatino)? something to do with sda? Thanks

you'll first need to make a directory for it to mount to:
mkdir /mnt/usb

then mount it at that spot

mount /dev/sda1 /mnt/usb


thats if, it attached as /dev/sda1

just one more thing... I have a cable internet connection, but it isnt working in the gentoo installation... is there anything I can do to set it up ?
