Is this language dead? I can't find any good references, good tutorials, or really any practical information on it as most of the links that you find on the Internet are dead. I managed to grab the GNU LISP compiler, but there's virtually no documentation on this thing especially regarding interfacing to C (or even getting it to link at all!). What's up? Anybody know?

It's not dead at all, indeed the TIOBE programming community index lists it as the 14th most popular language. I'd recomend reading Practical Common Lisp (which is available free on-line as well as in a printed book) for a nice introduction to LISP.

Oh, and it's not spelled LISP any more. It's Lisp, as in "Lisp is not dead, it just smells funny."

especially regarding interfacing to C

C FFI is the most current way to do it.
