I would like some advice on how to structure designing a game. I am not really sure where to start or what to do, so does anyone have some helpful advice? Thanks =)

Thanks, looks like a good read. Just the thing I needed! =)
What kind of game are you planning on making. Are you going to be using an Object-Oriented approach or procedural approach? What is the scope of the game (in other words, just how crazy are you planning on getting)? Is it fairly simple (highly recommended if you are working on your first or second game)?

This is my textbook-in-progress about how to design a game.

I want to help design a "sandpark" MMO. Optional interactive story with quests and deeply characterized NPCs, plus sandbox elements like player-craftable housing and lots of other crafting. If you are starting a design of this type, please PM me. I also love pet-breeding games.
