Hello, I'm programming world editor in DX9.0 and after users are working with it some time, DirectX is returning error like "out of memory", when code is trying to create occlusion query (for object selection). I'm using debug runtime (max validation, etc.) and there is no report about memory leaks. What is really strange, after restarting editor, "out of memory" message appear at the start of editor, and problem dissapear only after restarting windows. Is there any resource type, that may survive in DirectX after creating new "fresh" device ?

Looks like a driver oddity. Are you sure it supports occlusion queries?
If you've isolated the code causing the problem, can you post the code?

If you think theres any possibility of it being a driver/hardware related bug then I'd strongly suggest you run your application with the Reference Rasterizer (D3DDEVTYPE_REF in your CreateDevice() call). If you observe the same results under the REFRAST then it's very likely that your code is the piece at fault (if you get different results, it may confirm it as a driver/hardware problem) [smile]
