Hi While compiling my project, I faced some managed vs unmanaged C++ problems. using
 #using <mscorlib.dll>
in VS.NET 2005 beta, the compiler gives a Error saying fatal error C1190: managed targeted code requires a '/clr' option To solve this problem, I tried applying the CLR settings in the Project Properties page (as vs no CLR). But this only increased the number of errors appearing, and did nothing to solve my problem. Is there an easier way to get around this rather irritating problem. The program I am writing is a very simple one, and I really dont know if I need anything from the CLR. But because I am new to this environment, I really dont know how I can tweak some settings to get my project up and running. thanks for your help

If you want to write any managed C++ code, such as "#using ", you need the clr.

What errors do you get when you compile against the clr? I'm guessing that you created a regular (unmanaged) C++ project, then started adding code and turned on the /clr option when the compiler bitched at you. Try creating a managed C++ project from scratch and dropping your code in, and see what happens.
