Just Saw Serenity last nite. I know i'm late but pardon i just have to rant. Spoilers though. It was awesome!!! 1.) The first 15? minutes the transitioning doesnt allow you time to get bored. I liked how they go straight from the planets to the classroom, to the torture room, to the escape, to the video stop. (ive read a few people state the same thing so im sure im not alone in this) 2.) I love the strategies involved certain characters use in the film. A.) Deception: Mel using his dead friends' bodies and red paint as blood to get past the reavers. B.) Turning your enemies against eachother: Bringing the reaver army chasing them all the way to the alliance army, waiting to kill them. C.) "When your quarry goes to ground,...leave them no ground to qo to" The black dude burning all the friends that could help hide the serenity ship. Awesome!! 3.) That black dude was pretty cool. Especially his death move. "theres no shame in this death!!" Its also smart how for once, the bad guy doesnt get killed. I hope he shows up in sequels. Hes badasss. (yes, with 3 s's) 4.) "you guys always bring me the very best violence!!" Best. Line. Evar. Though the death of Mr.Universe was a good plot point, I'll kind of miss him,..would it be bad if they brought him back from the dead? ,..yeah probably,..oh well!! I've also been wondering about the morality of the Crew using him as a pawn in their plan. They knew the alliance would already be with him, but instead of a rescue, just used him to let the alliance know they were coming. I guess he was already dead anyway,..rescue would have been useless. And if he hadnt gotten killed before they arrived, then they would probably have taken him with them. 5.) The horny woman (sex? fscuk this! i'm living!!) [jewel Staite] is hot. But mainly cuz of her mannerisms than just her looks. I cant place her accent tho. Is it country-speak? 6.) The film did not make enough for a sequel did it? :( 7.) I want to get the complete series on DVD,..what are my options? //please answer with the numbers you're replying to so i can keep track.
