Hi, A bunch of sites show world of warcraft server status... how do they do this? Does blizzard provide any web service to check that...? is there any specific js function they query? Thanks

Is it actual details or just a "It's up" type?

If it's the latter, they just ping the server ips periodically to see if they respond

their is a slim possibility that they reverse engineered the communication protocol. Some games that I have don't do any cheat detection until you try to enter a game, so inferring the com format and finding the server status might not be that hard.
