howdy again, i am now parsing through .mi files (mental ray's - mental image files) to dig out the needed scene information (lightning, cameras, objects, textures, etc...) and i am finding them quite a bit more complex than .lws ( lightwave scene files ) and .x ( directX scene ) files that i currently have loaders for. i need to load this info into my program, so unfortunately writing a shader and encapulating the .mi files i need in that wont work. this is just a check to see if anyone has good links to info on this stuff as google is only popping up things on .mi version 1 file loading (version 2 is much different, and happens to be what i need). or better yet, is there any free (not share-ware or "educational use only" software) to convert .mi files to .lws or something a little easier to write a parser for... thanks!
