You know - I''ve asked Andre that question myself several times when I emailed a question to him - and he''s never answered me on that. I visited the site and it ain''t listed anywhere.

I talked to him about this recently. He''s written about 500 pages of it, but hasn''t been able to finish it because all of his attention is focused on the Hasbro suit. He still plans to finish it, but isn''t sure when that will be.

Amazon is quite often wrong. They usually use the initial date they get from the publisher, and rarely update it, even if they go past the date without the title being release.

Can we take legal action against them for that? After all, some people might need to make use of the date to plan their studies, etc.

Anyone know what''s the book going to be about? I mean, Is it going to be about D3D7/8 or maybe a software 3D engine?

It''ll be all about 3D programming - from DirectX to math. I dunno about OpenGL tho. I know that everything he didn''t cover in the first volume will be covered in the second along with the 3D stuff.

He said it''s going to be all software. Although he may cover some DX basics, it''ll focus on writing your own software 3D engine from scratch.

He doesn''t need to cover OpenGL, though. He''s already the editor for an OpenGL game programming book by someone else I know quite well.
