Does anyone know of any modern space sim where you can make seamless fully ineractive/realtime planetfall?

sorry, I don't know of any modern ones... unless you consider the work being done by Ysaneya.

One which comes to mind, while not modern, is Elite 2 (or was it Elite 3?). Perhaps Battle Cruiser 2?

I'm pretty sure Orbiter allows you to land on planets, but then it may not be the kind of think you're looking for (it's a realistic space flight sim).
