Problem with latest catalyst ?

After reinstalling windows with the latest catalyst i have had issues where putting on shadows in NFS:MW drops the frame rate from 80 to 25 ... and the shadows in most games look darker than usual while everything else is slightly brighter than usual .. check this post for screens. Are there any known issues like this with the latest (5.11) catalyst?
