i dont understand: when a mesh is bilt in some program, a texture is added on it, vertex buffer and index buffer are made, how can we apply a texture on it if we have too less vertices? eg: i have a cube, its 8 vertices and 36 indeces, how can i apply a texture onto 8 vertices?? it will look messy, for to look it good i need 36 vertices so i can apply a texture to each face. how can i do this with only 8 vertices and 36 indeces?? i apply a texture to 6 vertices and i have 2 extra left, so i dont know what with them, how to make apply 6 textures on 8 vertices??

Simply put - you can't!

The same problems occurs with lighting (you get soft lighting that makes the cube look curved).

You have to find a way to clone/duplicate those 8 vertices. You could do it in your program, but that could get messy - I'd suggest trying to get your modelling program to do it for you. I'm no expert, but most tools come with some sort of UV-mapping tool.
