Hello, We are developing a game using a DirectX-based engine. The engine handles animations though the D3D animation controller. Here's my problem: I want to blend two animations by adding them together. I have a 'walk' animation and an animation for the head of the character (look left, look right etc.). For the final animation, I would like to add these together, but weights won't do the job: I want both animations at 100%. To solve this, I would like to 'add' the animations: Subtract a base frame from the 'walk' anim, store the relative positions, subtract the same base frame from the 'look left' anim, store the relative positions, add the two stored sets of relative positions, add them to the base frame. This way, both anims would contribute to the final animation. Is this possible without dirty hacks, or should I play both animations and use all this intermediate data? - Jacco.
