I got a call from my parents this morning, and their internet had been down since yesterday morning. They originally thought that perhaps something at Earthlink was just down, and did not worry about it. Today it was not working, so I got a call at 9 AM. We are set up with 2 computer connecting wirelessly and one computer hardwired into a Wireless router. Then a DSL router running into the wall. The router seems to be fine, we can ping it, release/renew IP addresses, login to it, and obviously connect to it. To make sure I did have my father run the modem directly into a computer, but with no luck. Do you think the modem has gone bad? Everything else seems to be working fine, all 3 computers, wifi, router, but still no internet. I am 300 miles away, and cannot go home to look at it for another week. My dad is calling Earthlink, but I want to know if you guys think I might have forgot to test something. EDIT: We also powered off the router and turned it back on, powered off the modem and turned it back on, and powered off both and turned them back on with no luck.
