Well I am having a tad of an issue, I can either code a textbox class or use CreateWindow(RICHEDIT_CLASS,... to create a textbox for user input. BUT... RichEdit sucks, and me coding a class would be messy. Anyone have any suggestions?

Why don't you just sub-class and edit box ? That way you could set its behaviour and settings without too much difficulty. Or perhaps you could even create your own class using RegisterClass() with the WNDCLASSEX structure and pass it a different WndProc() but I'm not sure if that could even work.

Well even with that it would be messy in Win32. From the examples I've seen RICHEDIT is my best chance but im wondering what others have done. My experiments with RICHEDIT haven't gone well, if anyone has any example code I would be thankful to see it.

TY for the suggestion anyways.

What kind of input box are you going for? You want a multi-fonted word processor or a syntax-highlighted code editor?

Nevermind, I finished the class I was working on, on the same day. Just a few bugs I didn't want to deal with. TY anyways
