Windows 3.1

Original Post
Well, now that I have Virtual PC (you can see all the questions i've spammed in the louge ;) ), i just *had* to install DOS 6.21 and Windows 3.1. I hadn't touched my win 3.1 discs for a while, and on disc 3 "ERROR!!! PLEASE INSERT DISK 3!" Er...it is...i've tried and tried, and it won't get past disk 3. So..what do i do? Is there anyway I can get a copy of windows 3.1 from anywhere? I own the disks, so the legality part isn't a problem (right?). I've looked on torrents, FTPs, IRC, newgroups. Nothing. Anyone care to point me in the right direction for atleast going about finding disc 3? AFAIK, the others are fine. *crosses fingers*. Thanks guys...
I don't want to start a long debate, but have you tried abandonware sites?
Dude. Its Windows 3.1
Let it go.

Damn I hate that movie so much. I wasn't funny at all, it was plain studid, and it annoys the hell out of me that it probably made alot of money.
Where are the good SMART(keyword) comedies now-a-days? Anyone remember Hotshots? The Naked Gun? Airplane!? Now these comedies where really good and had lots of small funny details and had great dialogs.

- It's a big building with alot of patients
- That's crazy!
- That's not crazy. I'll tell you what crazy is. Crazy is walking down the street with a melon on your head saying "I'm a hamster, I'm a hamster".

I wanted to try our graphics engine in Win32s a while ago but VMWare had serious issues with Win3.1..
Anyway, my floppies are still alive =)
As for disk images of dubious legality, try DC. You're bound to stumble across it sooner or later.

How good is the Win3.1 support in VirtualPC?

I know VPC2004 runs Windows 2 perfectly (I have virtual machines set up for DOS 6.22, Windows 2, Windows 95 and Windows 2000). The one OS I haven't got to work was BeOS5PE, or more specifically BeOS5 Max.

Anyone feel like donating some WinNT 3.1/3.5 floppies for this noble cause? ;)
Quote:Win3.1 itself worked in VMWare, but according to the manual it didn't support any graphics cards so we were stuck in 16-colors. But, worse, it just crashed when we tried to run any Win32 applications.

The same thing happened in Win3.11 too.
