Hi, I just took a look at some of the tutorials today and found them extremely easy to follow. However, I also found some of the demos to run a little slow. It appears they were not using my voodoo2 card. I''ve looked about the net a bit for advice on how to get OpenGL to use my card in the little demo type things i''ve been making from the tutorials but haven''t found anything of use. I read that the voodoo cards do not properly support OpenGL and that some games used a sort of mini driver for it. Truly though I know very little about OpenGL and after discovering how simple it was to get to grips with I would like to continue using it. I''ve tried putting different copies of Opengl32.dll that came with the MiniGL but they didn''t work at all and just crashed when the program tried running. So how can I make it use the 3DFX card? Thanks for any help any of you may be able to give me. Regards, Dave Stubbs

Your are right, 3Dfx cards have broken/crappy "full drivers" (ICDs) so games use minidrivers to run OpenGL on them. You have to load them dynamically. Take a look at the source code of the titan engine to see how it''s done.

I would discourage you from doing so. Just buy a TNT1 ;-) It''s faster than the V², has much better image quality and has the best OpenGL drivers you could get... And it should be incredible cheap. When you sell your 2D card and the Voodoo2, you almost have the money ;-)

Voodoo2 only accelerates opengl in fullscreen mode(640x480). So don''t try windowed mode...
