This is for anyone interested in creating a realistic flight simulator (e.g., very realistic vs. arcade-style physics). Bernard Etkin's classic text, "Dynamics of Atmospheric Flight" has been republished, sometime last year (2005). This is truly one of the classic texts on the subject. It is very detailed, highly technical, and (like many books of that era---early 70's) not always easy to read---but still invaluable with info you won't readily find elsewhere. This is an excellent, borderline-required reference for anyone who is trying to code up an advanced flight simulator. Highly recommended. The other good news is that this new edition, from Dover, is cheap. US$20 over at Amazon, though there is a bit of a wait. (Compare this with US$100 and more for the current new edition of Etkin's other flight dynamics book, which is actually less in depth than this one! And to other contemporary books that are in the vicinity of US$100.) "Dynamics of Atmospheric Flight" @ amazon.com
