Rating date

I'm guessing you guys keep track of this so is there any chance that the date a user rated can be put by his/her name in the Personal Rating page? I'm curious who rated me last (and the dates in general). (That part of the control panel seems to be pretty thin/spread out anyway.) Also, as a related question, can people be re-rated? This could effect the above, if someone keeps re-rating (though I'd also guess that putting a limit on this can't be too hard).
Yeah, I'm fine with how it is now. It's usually pretty obvious that I was rated down for some post about the ethics of war, and up for some happy little answer to a web question.
Now, if it's only for the upwards ratings, I wouldn't have any problem with that, I suppose. Be an interesting little gizmo, anyhow.

Quote:Not sure what you meant. Usernames are provided. And I can easily check a response to a post by noting the list once before the post and again a few hours or days afterwards. The only thing that can't be done now is look into the history and order of the rates.

I like the annonymousness of the ratings... If the date at which the rating was given, one could easily found out who rated them. Keeping things annonymous is a good thing.
Usernames are not provided for all ratings.
The date that a rating occured isn't always going to be indicative of what the rating was for. I've rated lots of people for contributions to threads that have long since retired - if I run a search and find an answer I'm not too fussed about how old it is [smile]
Also, if you were to assume that the date a rating was given corresponded with your actions on/around that date you might draw false conclusions. Or, it could easily be abused by people who want to take revenge on someone knocking them for a couple of points.

but you only see people who rated you positively...
I wonder who would take revenge for getting a positive rating from s1 :p
Yeah, I suppose... but going from a "very helpful" to a "helpful" will drop a rating - yet they'll still be shown in the list of people who rated you positively.
You'd hope that people didn't act on such things and saw no need to "revenge rate", but I could still see people making the mistake. Doesn't have to be more than a mistake before you start getting a whole lot of bad feeling directed at the wrong person(s) and people generally have a bad day [oh]

I see your point, didn't think of that.
What's funny is that in the 2 minutes since I posted my previous reply,
my rating dropped 6 points... Without knowing who did that, I'm curious
more about the why... did I say something wrong?

To be fair, that was probably only one vote. Either that, or one of the little rating gnomes that nudges people's ratings around just to confuse them [grin].
