Hello, first off i am new and sorry if this is not in the right place. Secondly, thanks for reading my post. I was wondering if there is a good engine out there for me to make a card based dueling game over the internet. Thanks and i hope theres an extreme user friendly one :P

well it really depends on how you want it setup. you could set the game up in 2 seconds using visual basic. you can get visual studio express to take advantage of the .net framework for the networking side of it (if you want to setup a client/server based thing).

if you want it to be a player vs computer type thing, you can also use flash to do it really quickly. however, i dont know how any free flash programs to create it in.

other than that, any 2d engine would work (SDL would be my recommendation). if for some strange reason you wanted to implement 3d graphics, openGL works well with it.
*EDIT*
also there is a sdl.net that you could still use the networking framework with :)

GOODLUCK!

thanks, and yeah its a 2d at most, as it would be a very similiar concept to magic the gathering but for more adults. I am also working on a rpg game in a sense, where u are a lawyer.. i expect this to be huge, if i can get my team and get it down within the year
