I have a big programming project that I can't do alone, but i have other people to help me, then we discussed we will use CVS, but we all have no idea on how to use CVS, Dev C++ has a CVS tool to log in and blah, but we need CVS material and stuff. Have any ideas on wat to look at first?

The first thing you'll need is a CVS server, then you'll need a client (TortoiseCVS might be the best Windows-based CVS client).

But I personally would recommend using SVN instead of CVS. They're both valid solutions, although SVN offers a number of features that arn't available with CVS (like folder control). OpenSVN offers a free SVN server for your projects with multiple users and passwords. Very nice to get started with version control. As for SVN clients, I'd recommend checking out TortoiseSVN or SmartSVN. Good luck!

I will second (and on the behalf of my peers, third, fourth, fifth and probably even sixth) the motion to use SVN over CVS.
