I currently own a website but have made another on programming, but I cant find any decent free service providers(my current site is hosted by gameseek.com), Theres namezero but theres a huge banner thing at the bottom! Do any of you have any ideas for good providers of web space? I''d prefer it if it were good and with a fairly short domain name. Many Thanks Alan IF YA SMELL... WHAT THE BEZZ IS COOKIN''''

www.gdarchive.net is good and a somewhat decently sized name. No banners and 70mb free space. I used to be with them, but Captured Reality is dead.

www.brinkster.com is quite good, you don''t get any banners and you can use ASP and Microsoft Access databases (but in the free account, your ASP files can be easily viewed from outside, which is annoying).

Just because you''re outnumbered doesn''t mean you''re wrong.

Why have you killed captured reality?

Total Instant Messenger has a better future. Nobody wants a 3D VB anyway and my art sucks.

Are you going to Open Source it??? All of us aspiring VB programmers could probably learn a thing or two from it. Especially since anything I see is still learning for me.

try this:
www.freeprograms.com

There should be a link there for a list of free web hosting. Check that out.

Try SPHosting or Stas.net.
SPHosting gives you 35 MB of space with a http://you.sphosting.com domain. Stas.net gives you 999 MB and a www.stas.net/1-5/you/ domain. Neither have banners on your page. Stas.net has a popup every once in a while.

I was using stas.net for a while but they had horrible access times. I don''t know if it has been improved yet or not. I am currently with gdarchive.net and I have been pretty happy with them. gdarchive.net also offers your own cgi-bin directory which most other free sites do not.

i was with stas...until i uploaded about 10 megs of graphics, all evening (56k modem)... then the next day i visited the site to see if it worked, and all of the graphics were 0k inn size... plus their access times are terrible...

i''m quite happy at gdarchive.net, but does anyone know how to change your password?
