Hey, Words just don't describe this. http://incrysis.com/ The reaction I got was like UE3, only a couple orders of magnitude larger. I didn't see it here, and thought that some of you guys may want to see this. --CJM

Is there any way to download those screenshots at a decent size? They're so little... But freaking amazing!

That's possibly the best jungle render I've ever seen. Just wish the images were bigger.
[Slime] I saw a headline on the newspaper today: "Horrific Rape in Alley", or something.[Slime] I was like "Is there any other kind of rape?"[Slime] "HILARIOUS RAPE AS CLOWN SODOMIZED"

Pretty freaking beautiful!
I'm just hopinh the gameplay will be up to par.
Far Cry bored me after the mutants that kill you after one or two hits.

The movie is absolutely astounding - it's like Farcry only the bushes move when you brush up against them and it's infinitely more detailed. Quite impressive...

If you're using firefox, ctrl-shift-z & x will do the trick

"I must not fear. Fear is the mindkiller. Fear is the little death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past me I will turn to see fear's path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain." ~Frank Herbert, DuneMy slice of the web

Those visuals must be the best currently being developed?

The ambient maps (fake radiosity) are also impressive, hopefully they will be used extensivly with dynamic objects (like jeep headlights you control) and isn't just scripted (guards walking above with flashlights)

saw this at the GDC. it was breathtaking. they were showing it on the FRAPS and ATI displays. The particle system is sick and the lighting is incredible. the soft shadows of the trees are visible on your rifle as you move through foliage and the HDR that peeks through the treetops is nice as well.

Check out Project Offset. The technologies they are developing blows Unreal and HL2 out of the waters.

Sure, it's pretty enough to give you eye cavities, but will it be fun? They have some gameplay footage in the movie, and it looks like FPS Clone: Jungle Edition. No thanks!
I'm way more excited about
">Loco Roco
.

That looks like a more modern and sedate version of Sonic, i really want to try it!

A little biased to say it "blows them out of the water", because at this stage in the game, all of the next-gen tech is respectable.

I'm skeptical about this as an engine. I'd like to see a playable demo with sound, AI, etc., and actual alpha blended particles (solid squares just don't count in my opinion). I'd really like to believe it is as good as it seems, but I have my doubts. Will it perform as well with all systems running in the context of a complete game? Does it have a toolset to compete with Half-Life and Unreal? Can it handle large environments (ala Unreal 3)? Does it have the scripting capabilities and mod-ability of Half-Life and Unreal? The thought of a few guys putting together an engine that blows the Unreal Engine 3.0 out of the water is a little hard to swallow. That's not to say I wouldn't be ecstatic if they vanquished my doubts.
