What is cross posting? I've seen some other posts complaining about people doing this. Thanks, Nathan Madsen www.madsenstudios.com

Crossposting is posting the same(or even similar) threads in multiple forums.

Does cross posting apply to reposting about services needed over a period of time? Lets say I post something, then wait two months and repost it. Would that be okay? I'm just trying to network with as many people as I can.

Thanks!

As RTS said, it's posting the same thing (or nearly the same thing) in multiple forums. It's bad because it suggests that you either didn't narrow the focus of your questions enough and/or you're taking a mental shotgun approach. The idea is to ask in the most appropriate forum available, not to scatter the same thing far and wide in the hopes of soliciting additional answers.

You should post this question in the 'Help Wanted' forum.

That's not crossposting. Crossposting is posting the same things in many forums at the same time.

What you describe is OK assuming you wait long enough between posts.
