Hi guys, I have been trying to create a basic simulation (i.e 2 objects coliding in 2D space) using OPenGL and Visual C++6. Anyhow - i am struggling madly and have decided that its aboiut time i searched out some books and tutorials on the subject and i thought you guys were as good a place as any to start. So, are there any among you that could point me in the direction of some worthwhile tutorials or books that cover collision detection and the like? Thanks very much Neil

Well, I can't say too much, because I used VS 6.0 Enterprise up until about 3 months ago when I bought a copy of VS .NET 2003 Pro. But I think a lot of people will tell you that you should be using something like VS .NET 2003 or 2005, or to get the VS .NET 2005 Express Edition applications. VC++ 6 will still do the job though. =P

Anyhow, have you looked at the NeHe website? I know there's a collision detection tutorial there. But I have been looking for tutorials for a couple years, and never found anything that actually helped me. I still can't figure it out. LoL. So I can't help much.

But you may try NeHe, or Google for it. =)
:==- Why don't the voices just leave me alone?! -==:
