Hi Guys, I've got a set of classes in C++ forming the backend data structures and algorithms of my application and would like to write the frontend in Java. Now I've looked into JNI and got some basics working but I've got a lot of classes (some templatised) and it will be a pain to manually wrap them all. Plus i'd probably do it the wrong way :-D So I was wondering if there is a tool which lets me feed in my C++ classes and which will output Java classes with similar interfaces which I can then implement via JNI. I realise this is a very difficult problem, espessially when Java doesn't have features like templates, operator overloading, etc but does such a tool exist? I'm aware of SWIG but I don't think this supports c++ very well (certainly not advanced features). Otherwise, anyone know about IDL? I know the JIDL tool can create Java interfaces from IDL but are there any tools to get IDL from C++? There are many large C++ libraries with Java bindings so there must be something of use... Any help appriciated! David
