About 2 hours and 15 minutes ago, I plunked down $378 and change (tax included) for a Wacom Intuos3 6x11 digitizing tablet. Pictures coming when I get home.

Sounds kind of neat! Did you buy it on the spot? Or did you research into it?

Im still waiting for my 'toy' though :(.

Very cool and useful for 2D (Photoshop/Painter). I use the 4x5.

For 3D, check this out. You can control the view/object with the left hand and edit/UI control with the right hand (seen it demo'd; will probably pick one up in the near future to speed up world/vehicle 3D modeling).

Those come after I get comfortable. I guess I'll keep my pictures of to myself (this thing is HUGE!)

About six weeks of prep went into this purchase. I'm not an impulse buyer (nor am I an early adopter).

Next big-ticket item will either be the Intel MacBook (iBook replacement, expected to be announced by the end of this month) or 17-inch MacBook Pro (expected to be announced at the same time). After that I think my bank account deserves a holiday!
