I'm very sorry for the brievity but my computer's acting up and after typing a long write up about what exactly I was talking about, right before I hit 'submit', my pc freezes, MAN, nothing's more depressing. But anyways, let's recap on what you guys never got to read. Basically, I'm looking for some sort of experience. I am looking to see if you guys know of any game development group that uses MSVC 8 as its compiler (As a preference, but it obviously doesn't matter), and that's accepting recruits. I'm not that talented in graphics programming (at all, actually), but I could pretty much do anything else. Sorry, the initial post didn't sound as 'advertising', but I fear that if I spend too long typing up this one and making it look all nice, the same thing'll happen, and I don't wanna risk that till I find out what's going on (it seems to freeze every so often for some reason, never did). Basically it's because I'm trying to gain experience with working with the 'real-world' and what it demands. You know, I can read a book and a couple tutorials and make a couple of my own projects and say I'm skilled, although I haven't had any experience with 'real-world' projects. I'd like to get as much experience as I can before I can get a job in this subject. At the moment it'd be impossible (as far as I know, if you know otherwise, you're my hero) for me to get a employed in this area (programming) since I'm not even out of high school so I haven't even had the usuall 'at least 2 years of college' nor any type of certification, I don't know of any company that'd hire me, they'd be freaked out. I don't care how much I get paid or if I even get paid, I just want the experience, you know? I wouldn't make people pay me while I learn, it'd not make sense, of course after I get the hang of it, getting paid wouldn't be such a bad idea :P The only way I see around it is being some sort of ISV for people, I was thinking of signing up for rentacoder to get some experience in what 'real-world' projects are. As you've probably seen, I'm not solely interested in game programming, any type of programming lol. So yeah, seeing as I can't get a job anytime soon (It'll probably be 2 years after I get out of high school since I need all that college stuff :'( ), I was thinking about some other way to get experienced, I'd type some more and let you guys in on what I mean, but I'm so freaked out about my pc freezing again and me having to retype all of this, instead, I'll post, and edit as I add to it. Thanks guys!
