Hello, I've been coding for a long time.. enough said ;) However, I seriously lack reference books that will look nice in my book shelf :D Currently I have some old books in my native language, but their not really good. I was thinking of getting, Real-Time Rendering, 2nd ed. I've looked into it at the library and it locked ok, but it did lack more information and details on BSP, quad trees and such.. anyone know a book that has solid information on these techniques? Also, being real-time oriented, it doesn lack the low-level invent the wheel all-over again do it yourself techniques like line & poly rendering. Do anyone have a better tip for a book on these type algorithms than Computer Graphics: Principles and Practice ? I was also thinking of getting Advanced Animation and Rendering Techniques : Theory and Practice.. but after looking into it at the library, it really does contain many errors, that definitly will confuse the reader. So anyone knows a good alternative? A good referencebook for the maths on animation and deformation ans stuff is what I want, also it would be nice with a book that contains some nice maths on procedural texture generations, like turbulence and such. And good tips anyone? I don't mind maths, I do prefer API-independence, and prefer books with pseudo code or c/c++ , but hate books that replaces text with a dump of sourcecodes.. I have my own thank you very much :D
