Does games use a DVD or CD only for installing and anti piracy protection? The game does not actually reads data while running? Thanks in advance.

It depends on the game and the install type. A lot of games do a full install to the hard drive, so they don't need to read from the CD/DVD. Other games, particularly older ones keep some or all of the data on the CD/DVD, most commonly music is streamed from CD/DVD.
