Basically, I moved my computer from one room to another, which means that I unplugged all the cables and then plugged them back in once I situated the computer. Anyway, first my pc didn't recognize my video card, which only required that I shut down the pc, tighten the monitor's cable to the video cart port, and then it worked. Now, everything works fine, but an annoying "Found new Hardware" wizard will not stop popping up on my desktop, telling me that my machine recognizes a new network controller. I have no idea what this means. I assume that it means it recognizes my ethernet card, whatever that means. My ethernet cable (for DSL) is plugged in fine, and I'm obviously on the internet, but the wizard will not go away. I click cancel and it pops up again. I go through every possibility (and check the "Don't prompt me again to install this software" at the end of wizard) in the wizard, all which lead to me clicking Finish. Still, it pops up. It's frustrating having this wizard constantly on my desktop. Any help is appreciated.
