Is there a method available to run a PHP Script when a hotlinking attempt is detected, and for us to know which image or file is geting leeched? Anyone tried anything like this?

If by "hotlinking" you mean that other websites are using your images from your site by doing then the answer is "no".
But you CAN look into your webserver access log to see who's doing it (assuming you have control/access to it)

Anything's possible.
This certainly is (on Apache, anyway).

(that was the third result in a Google search for "hotlinking apache", by the way)
