You'll need to program (or use pre-programmed) game engines. Source & Torque are two engines that come to mind. With engines, you choose textures for maps, model out your characters, draw out the HUD etc. The engine all depends on your game. There are 3D engines, 2D (ex. side-shooter/scroller, isometric) engines and so on.

Using Dx in your programmer can get you a GUI, but I don't know Dx so I can't offer much help there.

Those are the two solutions to creating GUIs that I know of.

Borland's GUI designer most likely uses the platform's native GUI, which is not suitable for most games. Most games today use a GUI implemented with DX or OGL, but they rarely have visual designers since they are used in so few projects and it isn't much harder to specify your GUI in code than it's to visually design it. Using a GUI which uses DX or OGL is not likely to be easier than using Borland's GUI designer. Also you do know that only the GUI can be described in such a designer, right? Not the actual game play or something like that (I'm refering to your title which implies the development of the game is visual).

ya i know, when i said visual i pretty much ment GUI because a game that doesn't have an interface would be kinda lame, so i said visual game developement as in developing a game that isn't only in the console or text only, one that has pretty pictures to make the player have fun lol thus the gui part............

Oh, I have completely misunderstood you then. I thought you meant GUI for games, not games with GUIs. Borland should be just as easy as any other compiler to do graphics in, as long as you have access to the standard graphic APIs like SDL, OpenGL and on Windows, Direct3D. I don't know exactly how much you have done yet, but graphic programming can seem hard to people who isn't very experienced, especially those who started right after finishing their first book/tutorial/etc.
