I release my first shareware in about 13 years. So basically, I'm a total newbie. I signed up with a company who puts their trail-ware wrapper around my game. Now I see that it asks personal questions the first time someone runs the game. I set the option so that all these questions are optional but people still see this intimidating questionnaire box rather than the game on their first run. I'm wondering, will this greatly reduce the number of people who actually try the game? I know in the past, when I have download a game and they asked for this kind of info I often just close it and never open it again. I probably wouldn't have gone this route if I had known the wrapper did this (I guess I missed reading it somewhere). I haven't had enough downloads yet (under 10, I just put it up in a couple places) to compare downloads with trial activations. I would expect a close to 1:1 correlation.

Personally speaking, if I can just click next then no problem, if I click Next and it says no fill in some answers then the next step is the Cancel button unless it was something I was very keen on looking at, say something like a project Iam working on etc.
