whats wrong with the TextBox control it supports multiline. What does JTextArea support that the TextBox control doesn't ?

You could also try the Rich Text Box Control if you will be needing to add color to your text! Otherwise TextBox is what you'll want to use.

It's because I want a whole text area, such as the ones we are typing in here in GameDev.

I've seen the MultiLine property, but I can't find a way to set the height (where it actually sets the height to the one I specify). It always does the default height no matter what.

...Or does it?

you have to set Multiline to true before you can resize the height.
