When you leave the room, people talk about you. I've noticed that everybody does it to everybody, so I can only assume that when I get up from my seat, people talk about me as well. I've decided to no longer join in. Who's with me?
I'm not going to join you. In fact, I'm going to go to a chat room and talk about you right now.
There's no one to blame for this but yourself, so don't get upset with me.

I tried it, it doesn't work very well because then YOU are the one who is different and will be ostracized. Otherwise, that type of thing is a function of the maturity of the people you tend to hang around. Nowadays they guy who does that alot is a known jack ass where I work. YMMV...
In my group of friends doesnt talk about others when anyone of them leaves (I know because when someone who is not me leaves, we dont gossip). Although I suppose they could only talk about be behind my back.
Whats the big deal.
People have to entertain themselves.
Besides who says they are only talking bad about you.

I talk about people to their faces. Ooh, mister sensitive doesn't like being called an idiot to his face? WELL MAYBE HE SHOULD STOP BEING AN IDIOT! I wonder why people don't like me? Idiots[wink]
Quote:I want to know where you work. I know grown men and women clear into their forties who'd love to hear every last detail of one's life, particularly the sexual ones, and not necessarily from the said person. It drives me nuts but sometimes you just have to go with it.

Asian girls are hot.
Despite the fact that there were no asian girls in the room! LIAR! HYPOCRITE!
People are paying attention to the things I say and keeping track of them?!?!?!
It's like my worst nightmare come true!!!!
Edit: This still does not detract from the fact that asian girls are hot.

Yes you are right.
Solution: Build a mind control device to make everyone like you.

How do you konw it's true about YOU?
My solution: becoming invisible. Nobody will ever notice you unless you want to be noticed, so they can't gossip about the things you did back in kindergarten, because they don't even know that you exist until you talk to them!
That works surprisingly well for me. About half of a half of my friends think I magically teleport from place to place, about half never see me until I start talking, and the rest watch me like a hawk the moment I enter the room, just to be sure I don't disappear. [lol]
Remember, the less you are seen, the smaller your impact on society will be. And if you have a small scocial footprint, nobody will gossip about you!
Physical and social invisibility are both wonderful...

Do you like not being noticed by anybody?
And besides that, don't you think people wonder why you have this urge to be invisible? I know I do. When I wonder about something, I start by asuming I know why, and then afterwords I'll try to get it confirmed, and not always by going directly to the source.
Maybe people do talk about you behind your back, afterall?

There is this old tales that tells about a man that tries to have no impact on society at all, after many failed tries, he moves out in a cave outside of civilazation and lives alone.
One day, a woman show up at the cave. She's angry at him because her husband, out of respect for him, has left her and went to live alone in a cave too.
The way I look at it, if people want to talk about me when I'm not there then I > Them [grin]
